What is BAIL?

Security for appearance in court; a sum of money deposited to secure an accused person's temporary release from custody and to guarantee that person's appearance in court at a later date. A bail bonding agency, acting for the defendant, will arrange with the court to have a suspect released from jail pending the trial in exchange for money or collateral, which may be cash, assets, or a bond.

How does BAIL BOND works?

When a Bail Bond Agent writes a bond for the release of a defendant, the Bail Agent charges a fee of usually 10% of the bail amount that is required to pay the bond. This initial fee is not refundable, even if the case is thrown out after the defendant posts bail.
